John Wesley sermon, “The Use of Money,” defined some basic practices regarding money that are just as practical today.
Earn all you can. Save all you can. Give all you can. These three principles are the hallmark of John Wesley’s teaching on biblical stewardship. Wesley provided practical wisdom for Christians in the use of their money and resources. But there is more to our relationship with money than just balancing accounts, paying taxes, and counting our earnings. We have to be careful that we do not allow money, possessions, and busyness to replace our need to follow the Lord.
