The DeNike’s have a unique ministry of support and encouragement to a
number of Mexican national pastors whose ministries are scattered
throughout the country. They also relate well to churches in the United
States helping them to have significant short-term mission trips in Mexico.
In Kenya, the DeNike’s are partners with the International School of
Ministry (ISOM) and have created over three centers to equip, train, and
raise up over 32 pastors to go and spread the Good News.

Michael and Lolla coordinate the ministries of “Life for Children Ministry,”
which Michael founded. Life for Children Ministry is a ministry with a
passion and a heart for offering hope and a new life to orphans of
HIV/AIDS and vulnerable children. This outreach provides food, housing,
health care, education, and spiritual nourishment to the children with
whom it works. Through Life for Children Ministry, orphans are
reintegrated into loving homes with their extended families. The long-term
goal is the spiritual and economic transformation of communities.
Ty and Lea Thurman

Ty, a home-grown SSUMC boy, and his wife, Lea Thurman, have been
serving with Youth With A Mission El Paso-Juarez (YWAM EP-J) for six
years. Eli joined the team in May of 2010.
Ty is part of the Leadership Council at YWAM EP-J. Apart from his role on
the leadership team, Ty is also the Director of Training. As Director of
Training, Ty oversees the three training schools that YWAM EP-J offers each
year. The Discipleship Training School (DTS) and School of Missions and
Evangelism (SOME) consist of three months of lecture and two months of
outreach. The third school, The Bible School for the Nations (BSN) is six
months in length, four months of lecture and two months of outreach. Apart
from discipling the students, Ty also oversees and disciples the Training
staff.
Lea is the Director of Creative Arts. She has the privilege of equipping
schools, teams, the Children at Rancho Los Amigos, and anyone else that
comes through YWAM EP-J to effectively present the gospel message. She
teaches methods such as drama, choreography, and clowning as ways to
leap cultural and language boundaries. Besides leading the Creative Arts
department, Lea also works with the training department. She leads small
groups and does one-on-one discipleship among other responsibilities
within the department.

Jeremy and Kerbi Smith recently moved to the small community of Puerto
Viejo on the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica to serve through Concrete
Jungle Ministries. The Concrete Jungle exists in Puerto Viejo for the
purposes of introducing people to Jesus Christ and helping them to grow
in their faith.
The team of the Concrete Jungle has established a center for ministry
through the purchase of land adjacent to the beach, about one kilometer
from the center of town. They have planted an English speaking church
that is working to build relationships and bring the good news of Jesus
Christ to both English speaking locals and foreigners, meeting a critical
need in the community.
As a ministry of the church, they have also built a skate park, which is
used as a tool to build relationships with local youth and families,
introducing them to Jesus through programs and discipleship, as well as
providing them with a safe, drug free environment

David and Alejandra are full time YWAM missionaries responsible
for short - term ministries in El Paso/Juarez. They help organize
short - term mission projects with teams that come to Mexico to
serve and lift up Christ. Eventually, their vision is to go and plant
churches among Hispanic Muslims.
Charles and Becky Jackson

Their primary focus in Niteroi, Brazil (city adjacent to Rio de Janeiro) is the
supervision of a monthly food basket program to the poorest of the poor (30
families) in the Nova Mexico “favela” (slum), support and guidance for a
mission church which was planted in 2002 and training for volunteer
evangelists and lay workers. They also host short - term mission teams who
visit the residents in the slum and conduct programs (youth and adult) for the
mission church and the Santa Barbara Methodist Church.
Their ministry outreach in India is located in the Hyderabad area
(south central India, state of Andhra Pradesh) and “Tirchy” (southern India,
state of Tamil Nadu). Since 2005 they have started eighteen micro loan
programs with over 180 Hindu and Muslim women. The loan program has
been a key to evangelism amongst these women and their families. The
loan repayments are used to develop more micro loans and to subsidize the
salaries of the local evangelists. Teaching and training these evangelists is a
vital part of the work as well. The Jacksons are also involved with a girl’s
home in Hyderabad which houses 25 girls.

We are focused on growing the Body of Christ through planting cell
churches/small group Bible studies. Martin is serving as pastor of our home
church and also pastor of the Methodist church in the Porvenir barrio (Miguel
Grau) while mentoring a Peruvian national to become a pastor. In addition,
we are involved in weekly children’s ministry in Milagro and Porvenir. We
also enjoy hosting short-term mission teams. In our “spare time” we pray with
sick children at the hospital, counsel individuals and couples, and enjoy our
family movie night with pizza.

Seth Anyomi and his wife, Tina, founded the African Christian Mission (ACM)
