Why is Saint Stephen in Missions? Easy question to answer… because GOD wants us to! Check it out Acts 1:6-11! Another good reason is that it gives you opportunities to bless so many people, and somehow you end up getting blessed too!
In our Community we are involved in: *Samaritans Outreach, *Gifts of the Heart, *MW Outreach Center, *Non-Food Pantry, *Share-A-Meal, *Hats for the Homeless, *Sunday Nutrition Program, *Clowns for Christ, High Plains Food Bank, Tyler Street Resource Center, Coffee Memorial Blood Drive, Prison Fellowship Angel Tree, Ronald McDonald House, Crop Walk, Ceta Canyon, Good Neighbor Program, Sharing Hope, Wesley Community Center, Catholic Family Services, Martha’s Home, Bible Reading Marathon, Christian Campaign for the Homeless, City of Refugee, Another Chance Home!
In our State and across cultural boundaries here’s what’s happening: *Mission Work Trips, Mexico *Acuna Ministries, Kairos Prison Ministry, Mission In Motion (& global) Lydia Patterson School, *Sponsoring Youth and Adults on Trips; *Bibles (& global).
In Our Global Ministries we help support 17 missionaries, Collection Center for Operation Christmas Child, CIS (Church Development Foundation) and Bibles for Christian Mission to Belarus, Receive Special Offerings for Hunger and Disaster Relief (UMCOR)
* denotes ministries that we have started
How do you get involved in Missions? For me it was stepping out in faith, saying yes to a hands on Mission work trip to Juan Mendosa, Mexico. I thought it really would be wonderful to help build a church for this community, but what I didn’t realize was the overwhelming blessings it was to bring into my heart. What will it be for you? There are so many opportunities we have here at Saint Stephen. Just take the step...and see how God will bless you!
