Mission Haiti: Health Kits and Giving

Three things are most needed during the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti: prayers, finances, and health kits.

I know you have been praying for the people of Haiti and all of those who are trying to provide aid during the long recovery ahead. But, please consider giving financially and providing health kits.

The United Methodist Committee on Relief is the safest, best, and most effective organization providing relief in Haiti today. They were there before the earthquake and will be there years from now. Every penny given to them for earthquake relief will go directly to relief. You can bring a financial donation to the church (please put in the memo line: Haiti) or you can give online through UMCOR's secure website: UMCOR Haiti Relief. (Be sure to choose 'Haiti earthquake relief' in the drop down menu.)

There is also a great need for Health Kits. These simple kits go a long way in providing for the basic needs of the earthquake survivors. The contents are listed below and you can bring the kits to the church anytime before February 1st. Please do not add anything more to the kits than what is listed.
