Family Reunion

What a great “Family Reunion” Sunday! How thrilled we were to receive new members into our congregation. Great people. Sweet families. From all walks of life, all ages and stages. Be sure and study their pictures and profiles in another part of this newsletter.

And what a particular blessing to receive new members by Profession of Faith and Baptism. There should be no greater celebration in the life of the church than when God’s children come home to Him. If the angels in heaven rejoice and throw a party, then certainly the saints on earth should do the same.

So, now, “Family,” let’s do everything we can to help our new additions fit in and feel comfortable and find a place at Saint Stephen.

This coming Sunday, we will continue our Lenten Sermon Series on “Garments of Salvation.” I’m jumping ahead to the story of Lazarus—“Unbind Him, Let Him Go . . .”— John 11:38-44. It’s the story about a man who found new life – literally – through the word of Christ and the support of his friends. Don’t miss it!

Yours for the King,

Stan
