Faith-Promise is our monetary response to missions. Faith Promise is a different kind of giving in the church. It is giving that goes above and beyond our budget commitment and our building commitment. It is giving that is strictly used for one thing: the support of missionaries in the field. And then, finally, it is giving that depends entirely on God’s blessing. The way it works is this:
1) You take the enclosed card and you pray about what the Lord would have you give to missions.
2) You write down that figure on the card.
3) You turn in your card during the offering on one of the Mission Sundays.
4) You then begin to pray and watch, waiting to see if the Lord provides financial resources from an unexpected source. If the Lord does that—you receive money out of the blue, from a source you didn’t expect—then you give that money to the Lord.
5) That’s why we call it Faith Promise. The Faith is the expectancy we have of the Lord to provide. The Promise is the commitment to give the money to missions when He does. Pure and simple, Faith Promise money is money you don’t have to give unless the Lord gives it first.
100% of our Faith Promise giving goes to support the salaries and ministries of our missionaries on the field.
