Mission
To guide and mentor a child from birth to know, love, and follow Jesus Christ, and to help equip the family in becoming deeply committed Christians.

Sunday School at Saint Stephen
Children are precious in the sight of the Lord, and our care for them shines through in our nursery, preschool, and elementary Sunday School classes. We have dedicated, loving teachers in each age level who are trained to present Jesus to the children in their care. We use age appropriate curriculum to teach children of every age about Jesus. Please join us for our well-rounded, biblically based Sunday School every Sunday. Come and learn about Jesus and have a great time with friends.

Preschool Sunday School
Each week our Preschool age children (3 years old by September 1st) attend developmentally appropriate classes where they are taught the word of God in interactive and fun ways. Children act out stories from the bible, create bible themed crafts, play games related to the week’s theme, and spend time in self-chosen centers. Our goal is to reach each child through a variety of learning styles and at all levels.

Elementary Sunday School
We strive to make Sunday School the “best hour of every child’s week”. All Elementary aged children are invited to join us in an exciting study of “God’s Story: Genesis-Revelation”. Each week children meet in age-appropriate Large Group classrooms where they are invited to participate in a number of Activity Stations, giving kids an opportunity to connect in an informal way. An exciting Large Group time follows as a gifted teacher presents a Bible Story in an unexpected way. Kids then follow up and discuss the lesson in a Small Group of 8-10 children. Small Group time includes snacks, games, conversation and fun. Come and see how God’s word can impact your life!

Kid’s Own Worship
Kid’s Own Worship teaches children to focus on the one most important thing in life: a growing relationship with Jesus. Children learn about Jesus through a variety of fun and meaningful ways. Please join us each week as we sing, play games, and hear great stories. Children won’t want to miss the adventures of the Bible each week at Kid’s Own Worship.

Created by God
This sexuality retreat will help fourth and fifth graders celebrate how God has made them and to relate with their peers and families in a Christian manner. Special emphasis is given to being created in God’s image and to family, relationships, intimacy, communication, self-esteem, responsible sexuality, and decision making rooted in a relationship with God. Parents are required to be an active part in this course.

Mission Projects
We believe that kids can make a difference in this world. It is our desire to provide opportunities for them to put their God given gifts and talents to use and to give of their resources to help those that are not as fortunate through projects that benefit many ministries in Amarillo and around the world. Children will participate in mission projects in and out of the church throughout the year.

DivorceCare for Kids
DivorceCare for Kids is a special group to help children heal from the hurt caused by the separation or divorce of their parents. At our weekly DC4K group, kids make friends with other kids who understand how they feel and the things they are going through because of the divorce of their parents. Best of all, children will learn how God’s love can strengthen them and help turn tears to hope and joy.

We would love to hear from you. You can reach us at the church office at 355-7271 or by e-mail.
