I’ve done my share of grousing. It’s not a perfect church, but no church is. It’s got its problems because it’s made up of people. And yes, there are competing philosophies that are very much in conflict. Nonetheless, we have a system that is democratic and representative and one that God continues to bless in spite of the controversy.

This coming Sunday, Karl Baumgardner and I will be
sharing about the recent General Conference held this year in Tampa, Florida. As is the case with every General Conference held every four years, there were positive things about it and there were some disappointing things. We will be talking about that this Sunday.

But beyond that I want to go a little deeper with you and talk about some of the specific things that really position us as a
denomination on the cutting edge of Kingdom work—What’s Right About the United Methodist Church. I think you will be pleased and blessed to know.

So . . . whether you are a life-long Methodist or a newbie, you’ll want to be here Sunday to hear about what God is doing among these very exciting and yet “methodical” people of God. Join us!
